General ConditionsASTUR GmbH (hereafter ASTUR) is responsible for the accuracy of description of all services offered in the brochure. ASTUR reserves the right to correct printing and calculation errors. These conditions and any contract shall be governed by the laws of
Germany.
Duration of lessons
One lesson has a 45 minutes time period. Cancelled lessons on bank holidays
In our “International Summer Courses” in Augsburg, Berlin, Wiesbaden and the “International Summer Camp” in Oberwesel and Frankfurt lessons cancelled due to bank holidays (see page 3) will not be compensated. Undisciplined behaviour and damages
Clients must exercise reasonable standards of conduct. Any participant who breaks school regulations or upsets the community through her / his undisciplined behaviour will be excluded from the programme. Any loss or damage to any property or injury or death of any person caused by the negligent act or omission of wilful misconduct of the client will be charged to the participant. Smoking
According to the German Youth Protection Act children and adolescents under the age of 18 are not allowed to smoke in Germany. Alcohol / Drugs / Theft
All students under the age of 18 are not allowed to buy or drink alcohol. Drug purchase, use or possession is strictly forbidden. Theft is not tolerated. Any case of theft or burglary will be reported to the police by ASTUR. In consequence of any violation of these terms or rules of conduct the participant will automatically be sent home on his / her own expense. Health
We can only accept participants in good health. If participants contract a serious or infectious disease, they are obliged to report to our local organiser immediately. Complaints Complaints should be made during the stay to the Head Office in Fulda immediately. In the event that the matter is not resolved the client should hand in an immediate report in writing within two weeks after departure. Insurance Liability ASTUR is not liable for any loss or damage caused as a result of “act of god” such as strikes, war, riots, floods or any other circumstances beyond our control. ASTUR will not be liable for any expenses or inconvenience caused to any client who has been expelled from a course as a result of unreasonable or unsociable behaviour. ASTUR will not be liable to any clients unless and until we have received full payment. Terms and Conditions of Payment
Bookings must be made in writing and are not confirmed until written confirmation has been made by ASTUR. Upon confirmation of booking ASTUR will invoice the client for the amount stated in the offer / confirmation. Individual bookings
Individual bookings should be paid in full at least 4 weeks before arrival date. If the client fails to make the payment on the due date, ASTUR reserves the right to hold back travel documents such as accommodation voucher or cancel the booking. Bookings for closed groups In case of group bookings, the client will pay a deposit of 80 % on acceptance at least 8 weeks prior to the scheduled arrival date of the group. Until this prepayment has been made, bookings are not binding on the part of ASTUR. At least 2 weeks prior to arrival of closed groups, the outstanding amount of 20 % of the invoice amount must be credited to an ASTUR account. In case of later payment, ASTUR reserves the right to hold back the host family addresses. Payments All course fees must be paid in Euro and must include all bank charges. Please be sure to organise the payments of your invoices in time. a) Wire transfer to Deutsche Bank Fulda b) Cheques drawn on a German bank in Euro, issued in favour of ASTUR GmbH c) Credit cards are not accepted.
Cancellation Fees All cancellation must be made in writing. Cancellation charges are as follows: Individual bookings (International Summer Courses and Camps, One-to-One, Homestay, School Homestay, German for Adults) 30 to 15 days prior to arrival € 75 14 to 5 days prior to arrival € 300 4 to 1 day/s prior to arrival € 500 day of arrival total price of the stay Individual bookings (Academic year)
90 to 31 days prior to arrival € 200 30 to 15 days prior to arrival € 500 14 to 5 days prior to arrival € 1.000 4 days prior to arrival total price of the stay Cancellation charges also apply to visa rejection. In all cases in which students abandon a course for reasons unconnected with any fault on the part of ASTUR, participants will be charged the full price of the course. The participant will also be charged with all costs for early return such as travelling expenses (supplement for rebooking), assistance at the airport etc. if he / she wishes an early return home before the end of the stay.
