The Town
The little village Diez at the river Lahn is known for the Count’s castle at the top of the hill. A footpath leads directly to the idyllic place and the meadows with various leisure facilities are not far away. In the evening, when it is peace and quiet, you can hear the knights riding through the streets. 

 

Our ASTUR Campus
The modern and completely renovated youth hostel is placed in the historical castle above the Lahn. The best place to learn a language. It has a spacious entrance area with reception, communication area, coffee bar, restaurant, bistro and terrace, Internet-terminal, board games, table tennis, barbecue area outside, playground and a regional museum. 

 

In the Count’s castle, once a prison, the accommodation is in shared rooms, which can still be recognised as being prisons cells. No fear, they are individually decorated and comfortable. All rooms are en suite. Full board with breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet.    

 

Courses
20 lessons/week (1 lesson = 45 minutes) general GERMAN or FRENCH or ENGLISH COURSE by qualified  teachers. Maximum of 15 students in each class, the average is 12 participants. Lessons take place in the youth hostel, from Monday to Friday, except on bank holidays.
The English or French language course will be attended by students from Germany and from countries from all over the world. The courses are divided in different levels: beginners (A0), elementary (A1), lower intermediate (A2) and intermediate (B1). Grading test on the first day to determine the correct level and certificate at the end of the stay.

 

Activities per week 
We are specialists in youth travel. Our friendly team will run a fully supervised activity programme suitable for students: welcome meeting, campus sports (volleyball, football, and basketball), dancing and swimming. We organize workshops following the interests of the participants. Excursions (every Saturday) to Koblenz, Limburg, Bonn and other destinations are organized. Chill out on Sunday.

Special: Canoeing on the river Lahn The Lahn is Germany’s most favourite canoeing river and one of the most beautiful at all. You will find a charming landscape with unspoilt nature, far away from industry, congested areas and street noise, as well as culturally significant sights. The constantly changing river course with slight rapids and partly manual sluices invite you to interesting canoeing tours. We organize 2 half day canoeing tours per week.

Deposit:
We ask the students for a deposit of 50 € on the day of arrival.
